Agrochemicals Act As a Life Savior for Agricultural Crops
Agriculture sector is considered as one of the most important sectors of economy of any country. Fertilizers, agrochemicals, etc are the key factors on which agricultural productivity depend up to a great extent as these key ingredients aid in increasing crop yields by reducing the potential threats. Agrochemical products like pesticides, insecticides, etc help in enhancing the physical characteristics of plants, therefore these products are recommended to farmers to apply in the field for increasing the overall crop productivity.
Reasons for applying agrochemicals
These chemicals are employed in a field by the farmer for a number of reasons and reducing the pest related risk and is considered as one of the main reasons. Moreover, applying these chemicals in a field require less time as weeding a field require 120 hours of manual labor and on the other hand same work will be done by 4 hours of spraying. However, it is noteworthy to disclose that in the agrochemicals formulation certain products are used which are injurious to a common man’s health. Therefore, it becomes mandatory that farmers should have proper knowledge of how to spray the chemicals in the field by following necessary precautions.
Another important point which requires due consideration is different agrochemicals such as rodenticides, fungicides, etc have varied agrochemical formulations. So, it becomes mandatory that farmers must contain proper understanding regarding agrochemical’s applications for avoiding serious problems. The application process of agrochemical involves three stages:
• Assessing the situation- Primarily assess the situation carefully and note the problems of the field.
• Identify the pest- After noticing the problem; try to find out the cause of the same. For example- if you have notice the weeds in the field, then try to categorize them that whether they are grasses, broadleaves or sledges.
• Timely implement the solution- Once you have categorize the type of weeds, then try to implement that solution which is the most economical and effective. If spraying is the apt solution, then chose the right product for spraying.
So for increasing the crop productivity, not only agrochemical formulation factor is important, but other factors like the product used, identifying the problems, etc are also equally important.
